1992 was a massive year for snowboarding. The corny 80s were behind us and a new generation of riders were firmly based in skateboarding, and brought that style and focus to the mountains. That summer there was an effort to build the first “super pipe” on Blackcomb, and it drew a lot of media. Fall Line Films had been in Whistler earlier that year and they came back to document the action for the now legendary film “Riders on the Storm”. It was a session of superstars, none more impactful than Jamie Lynn. This shot shows his style, control, and calm, in the middle of a frontside lipslide to 360 out. At the time, the absolute height of progression.
