During the filming of Whiskey 2, a group of us took a trip to Johnson’s home mountain of Big White with the goal of doing some filming and some snowboarding. When I look back at the photos from that trip, they’re mostly at night. I had been shooting more and more remote strobe stuff and I guess this was a good chance to play with flashes.
To be honest, the trip is mostly a blur. We shot the infamous pool table video and the rest of the night I can’t really repeat, and other than that, we weren’t really welcome there for awhile. Like, a long while.
One of the photos of Jimmy from that night ran in Transworld, but I always liked this one better.
