JP took a tactical approach to his filming year, meticulously planning his travel to coincide with the right conditions around the globe. A large potion of that time would be spent in Whistler where he would bang out the bulk of his backcountry footage.
This kind of cornice isn’t the sort of terrain I’d shoot often, but in this case we had a good safety plan in place in case it cracked. It didn’t, but the dramatic overhang adds a lot to this shot.
