I had met Terje in 1991 as the prodigal son of the Burton family. He was still shadowing Craig pretty closely but he was starting to show his independent streak. The next summer he had become a force to be reckoned with.
This classic photo ran as both a Burton ad and a 2-page spread in Snowboarder Magazine. It showcases the style and power that Terje would come to be known for. All while colour coordinating his outfit and board.
Soon Haakon would be winning every contest he entered and solidifying his legendary status.
